The festival bus takes you from the Vienna Konzerthaus to directly in front of the Lockenhaus Pfarrkirche.

RIP Franz Xaver Ohnesorg

The Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival mourns the loss of Franz Xaver Ohnesorg, who died unexpectedly on November 14th. For many summers he visited and supported Gidon Kremer and Pastor Herowitsch at the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival in his incomparable way. For his many years of idealistic work for the chamber music festival, Ohnesorg was honored with the Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art of the Republic in 1993.

On October 27th of this year, Gidon Kremer and Sir András Schiff played at one of his farewell concerts for his piano festival. We are all the more shocked and stunned to hear the news of his sudden death.
