Lockenhaus Castle

This cultural sight dates back to the 13th century. It is built in Roman and Gothic style and features colonnaded windows, frescos and underground Romanesque "Apsiden" (altar niches) hall, crypt and other relicts dating back to the 13th century.

Lockenhaus Church

The church of Lockenhaus is an impressive early baroque parish church (formerly Franciscans, later Augustinian Hermits) and was built in the 16th century by the Italien Pietro Orsolini.
Especially remarkable is the painting of the high altar of 1675. Furthermore the church has six side altars and a crypta. Since 2003, the church has the biggest church organ in Burgenland.
